I careen back into uni next week, starting the spring semester and my first law classes... all naive,dewy-eyed,with the purest of hearts loaded with noble intentions of "helping the poor, the disenfranchised, y'know." Anyway, casting aside cynical mindsets, these holidays have been gloriously langurous (lots of assonance there) and i've been schlepping around on the internets quite a fair bit, so warning you now this will be a lonnnnnnngass post...

The Ides of March. Yes, another serious movie film in the vein of 'Good Night and Good Luck' from Clooney, basically the West Wing gone a tad noir. A TIME magazine cover in the promo poster? hell yes, credibility and Oscar-generating buzz!
Basically,this is my perfect film. American politics. A host of fine actors- Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and of course, George. And THE MAN, of the moment, of the year, year being 2011...RYAN GOSLING. Remember 2010 and James Franco? Yeh, that's right. James Franco who?

Anyway, I like Ryan Gosling for his fineeeeeeee body acting skills. Favourite Gosling films: Half Nelson, Lars and the Real Girl, and Blue Valentine (which was truly devastatingly good.) NOTE THE ABSENCE OF THE BOOK.
Moving on. Colour Cues . I'd like to stop wearing all the CLASSIC BORING NEUTRALS in my wardrobe. Like hey, I'm young. I should wear colour and flirty pinks or whatever.

These twin kiddies nailing their 'Hey Ya' dance routine make me want to go out tomorrow and buy a Wii and get Just Dance 2 and set it up in my lounge room and have k-raaaaaazy fun. (By myself. Because i don't have a twin NOOOOOOOO. Yes i have a sister close in age but the HSC keeps her company.) You know, this Wii craving is similar to the one i get when i see Leslie Knope eat waffles (FYI, fave scene 1.31). I dunno. Is this a thing? Where you see someone on a screen do something and you get this intense urge to replicate the experience??!?! Whatever, this is getting too philosophical. THE POINT IS, although you're not "supposed to" pick favourites because every child is special and wonderful etc, dude, the kid on the right totally kills it, dance-wise. We're talking happy-feet! Hip swivels! (AND ANOTHER POINT- i can't believe parents still dress their twins in the same clothes. That's just not fair.)
